Navigation update
Just received another message from MBUSA re: updating the navigation in my 2010 E for $250.
While it may add/delete some locations, not sure it is worth $250.
Also, dealer wants $250 to update the COMAND system unless I can demonstrate a defect in current system.
Seems to me MBUSA should do each of these for a lot less and maybe do a combination.

I think the Nav part is pretty much separate. i.e., it's a NAVTEQ product and not an MB thing. You can buy the DVD and load it yourself from NAVTEQ and it's still the same price from them directly. I've never updated a Nav system from the dealer and always got it on my own. Do the dealers even give you the DVD to keep after they've loaded it on the hard drive?
imho, the thing that's really worth the Nav update are newer and updated POIs, not so much roads. I think new POIs are added by NAVTEQ a lot more often then new roads being built. But if you have TeleAid or MBrace you can load POIs to your hearts content via the iPhone app (or connect with TeleAid or Mbrace and have them load them for you while you drive.)

2010 E350 nab update bias
I had dealer update nab to the 10/2010 version in my E350 purchased in 10/2009. worked perfect until then. Nw the system appears to have an offset of about 250 feet and directions to destination are incorrect due to this. Anyone else having the same symptom?

This is easily corrected. Go to your dealer and either have him adjust or show you how to do it.
