I have a 2010 e550 what is a kick down and how do i use it

 

Push the right pedal down all the way. Enjoy the ride. It simply tells the car that you are serious about needing more power and it optimizes the gear and engine thrust.

this is not unique to the 550 nor the E. Many automatic cars have it.

 

It also works better if your are in Sport mode.
