USAA incentive

Anyone know what types of USAA insurance meet the criteria for the $4k discount? For example does it have to be auto insurance, will a homeowner's work, how about something as simple as a personal property policy, i.e., jewelry, etc.?

All you have to be is a member of USAA and you qualify for USAA guaranteed price. I printed out my pricing certificate and used it as a STARTING point for negotiations. Ended up $2000 below USAA guaranteed price.

If you do not qualify for USAA discount, and you have AMEX they offer the same discount http://amexnetwork.zag.com/main.html

That AmEx link does not reflect the extra $4K discount on 2011 E350

I checked the AMEX service. It give you the standard deal a dealer will offer 15 minutes after you walk through the door of the dealership. That is, a couple thou above invoice. You could get that price earlier this year with no-haggle.

I still find the best strategy is be wilingl to drive several hundred miles if necessary and deal straight with the dealer.

Tue Car pricing

True Car pricing (True Car Costs?) is the same as USAA and open to everybody generally speaking. However, M-B may offer a better deal to USAA members. The discount comes from M-B, not USAA or the dealer.
I negotiated a good price and then lowered it by the USAA discount back in 2009.
The discount is based on cost of car, so it varies by model.

The USAA discount is the same as all MB Fleet customers get. Because USAA is owned by its members, and the company buys/leases lots of vehicles, they are able to pass along fleet discounts to the entire membership. If you go to MBUSA website and look for their fleet program, it explains and shows the discounts available.

Try USAA car buying and then try truecar.com. Will probably be the same price and same dealers.
Recently purchased a truck and local dealer beat both true car and USAA-which were the same.
A limitation to both true car and USAA is that only certain dealers will honor it.
Long-time, well satisfied member of USAA, but would not join just to get discount on a car.

As others have said all you need is USAA membership. I used the USAA car buying service to locate and price the vehicle. Went to the dealership, negotiated a few odds and ends, applied the $4 discount and was out the door. Whole process took less than 3 hours for me.

Go to this forum to find out all you need to how about USAA and conquest offer discount. Both are 4K off but only one or the other. Start reading the post #900 and on. I just bought a 2011 e350 for slightly below invoice plus 4K from the conquest offer discount, plus the last Saturday of the month.Basically 9K discount from msrp plus TTL.

How does this discount compare to the European Delivery program? Isn't the EDP about 15% off of invoice?

7% which puts it near invoice and no delivery fee (about $785).

Dealers are dumping their 2011 e class models for the 2012 with new engine/tranny. So, 15% is common on 2011. The conquest offer is good until 8/31/2011. I'm sure that there will be next month's special until they clear out all 2011 E class. In additional, dealer incentive and customer loyalty program (if you qualify) will give you up to 9.5K off msrp.
