New Toy - work in progress
Hello Gents (and may be some ladies)....
I usually don't post pics of my rides (don't like to brag to much), but this is a new toy and it's coming together fairly nice. So what the hell...
The pics are taken with my iPhone, so my bad for crappy quality.
Enjoy!!!

Looks sick. If I had a black w212, yours would b it. Tint the windows and tails and paint the sides to match to complete and post more pics. :p

Thank you! I am not a big fan of tint, but might consider very very light one. Still undecided. I am however waiting for the set of H&Rs from Tire Rack. They are on the national back-order... grrrrr!!!!

Didn't even notice the drop or lack of. Must be 20s. You might get some rub with that setup.

I always liked the race looks on my cars and that meant no tint. But you are right the more I look at the car from the side, while the rear window shade is down which make the car interior appear darker, the more I like it. I just need to get used to the idea.
Yeh, those are 20's. I think I should be able to get it down 1.2/1.4 w/out any issues. MB fenders in my previous experience are fairly wide on the inside. If not, baseball bat... here I come

Thanks! Yes, I did. Took some time, but came out nice. I used the heat resistant paint from the local Grand Auto 3 bolts on each side....
The only chrome part that's left on the exterior is the rear trunk star badge, which will be painted black as soon as my schedule allows me coupla hours

I like that it's really clean with no trunk spoiler and all that sort of excess stuff. It's subtle and stealthy. You might even consider getting the upright star hole in the hood filled and painted (I've seen it done before.) That way you don't get the redundancy of the logo on the grill and then right there next to it on the hood. Or maybe try to find an aftermarket grill w/o a logo.
I'm still not excited about the W212 design, but one this looks a lot better. It looks a lot better in darker colors, imho.
I wouldn't do anything more to it, except to eventually drop the new 5.5TT motor in there....
p.s., yeah you do need to get the side markers replaced (easy to do.)

btw, I think a big plus on yours is that you blacked out the chrome window trim (like the shadowline option you can get with BMW.) I just looked at some pics of the W212 and they're all chrome. I don't know why they went with chrome on the W212, but having them black is waaaay nicer (the previous version of the E had black anodized window trim.)
EDIT: I just looked at some pics of other people's W212s here and there's some with chrome and some black. So what's the deal with the W212. Can you order a shadowline sort of option? All the ones I've seen in person and driven were chrome, iirc. But I'm now seeing pics with both.....

Thank you Sir! And you got that right I come from the long history of owning various BMW (I am proud to say that I owned every single M3 model at one point or another, from E30 to E90) and was always a huge fan of a sport package option that included shadow trim. The funny thing is that it was the very 1st thing that I did to the car (I only own it for 3 weeks or so). Matte black wrap on the windows and the trunk, plus the chrome door molding delete all around made a big difference IMHO. Thanks for the kind words. I cannot wait till the TireRack makes H&R springs available again so that I can close that fender gap

Anyway, good job on the trim.

Keep the pictures coming when you make more changes! I think everyone here will be interested in seeing. I also think you should have some nice shots taken with an SLR by someone who knows photography.

U can buy some tinted side markers either on eBay or from your local shop, or have the oem ones from your car painted to match. I got mine painted.
