I will wait until someone installs them to see if they work before ordering them. I do not want the bulbs to get too hot and burn the glass. Mixedfruit how long were the bulbs on and were there any issues?

I ordered these bulbs and tried to install myself.
Unfortunately, they did not fit the housing (base of bulb was loose where the o ring fits into the housing) and the plug did not fit the DRL wiring harness plug on my E550.
Not sure how Mixedfruits' bulbs were installed, unless significant modifications were made to the housing and the harness.
I returned to IJDMTOY and they graciously refunded my money.
Staying OE on the DRLs for now.....

I want to replace the dual fog lights with the newer "L" or ""hockey puck" led light. My question is , if i order theses from the dealer, and have some one else install them , will i get an error message on my dash.

Now you could hard wire them in by cutting plugs off, but in the end the cars computer will still be looking for the draw of 4 bulbs, so I don't know how you fix that error.
Supposedly someone on here did the upgrade and when I asked how, all he replied with was he followed an old thread that showed how to do it. I've gone back through all 125 pages of posts in this forum and never saw a how to on this.

Well, Well, Well, look what I found on the ECS Tuning site:

Anyone willing to bite an do a write up? I'm certainly tempted!
I'm going to message them and see if they have any pictures of their kit installed.

I'm glad that you found the LED DRL conversion kit on our website.
Unfortunately, we do not have any photos of this kit installed yet, but we hope to have some in the future.
I can tell you that this kits contains all genuine Mercedes-Benz components. This is the same kit that would be used at the dealership if you were having the conversion done there.
This kit includes the lamps, new grilles and the electrical connectors you will need for a complete conversion without the need to cut into the wiring harness and use crude crimp connectors and electrical tape.
I would recommend our Electrical Terminal Tool Kit to aid in assembly of the connectors that come with the conversion kit. The Electrical Terminal Tool Kit is available HERE, or by clicking on the photo of it below.
If there is anything else I can answer about this kit, please don't hesitate to post or send a PM and we will do our best to answer your questions.
