Video in motion

Does anyone know how i could get in engineering mode and change it so i will be able to view video in motion on a 2011 E350? I have seen older threads but none for 2011 E class. I know you can buy smartTV or something similar but wondering if it can be done from the command center. Any help would be great. Thanks!

oh how I hope that no one helps on this.....

Alternatively, perhaps someone should suggest how to integrate these:

into the comand console. Why look at the road at all?

Sorry...I couldn't resist. I live in a world of folks reading their cellphones and texting instead of driving.

On a serious note, altering comand to provide video to to those video glasses would actually be a better and safer solution/alteration in your case. However, I believe that when you turn on navigation, comand might well stop video playback so you would have to pick which you wanted active. You could try that by playing video with the car stopped. Tbhat would be a show stopper to a modification.

Hi,
You could buy the hardware and have someone install it for you. I bought one for about $160 and paid $65 for installation in Toronto, Canada. It's nice as your passenger can watch video music or dvds. It also let you change your navigation on the go. Thanks

Thanks mjahani. What was the name of the product you bought and where did you get it? If you bought it online I would buy it from the the same place. thanks.

Hi,
I bought it from Worldwide-sounds via ebay. The company is located in Portugal and they are very helpful and friendly. It is called:
TV FREE MERCEDES NTG4.5 NTG4 W212 C207 VIDEO IN MOTION

http://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_nkw=T....c0.m270.l1313
Paid $160 US. Thanks

Not that is helps with your E, but you should check out the Splitview option on the 221's. Allows driver to see normal nav/radio while passenger sees video on the same screen. Pretty neat option. Maybe it will make it's way down the ranks someday.

Me too, lol. I'm too lazy to run downstairs, and am afraid that I'll probably forget tonight.

It would be HILARIOUS if that code cracked it. Let's hope for the safety of all of us, it doesn't, as selfishly nice as it would be to have video in motion.
