2012 E350 Invoice Pricing?
Does anyone have invoice pricing for the 2012 E350 and the various packages/options?
When I negotiated the purchase of my BMW I had invoice pricing for everything which was essential in making sure the offer I was getting was legit.
Thanks in advance

Use Truecar.com for pricing information. Better than Kelly Blue Book or Edmunds, also on the internet.

has anyone used this calculator before?
http://www.benzonly.com/invoice.aspx
according to this calculator, there is about 6% difference between MSRP and invoice, but reading some posts other people are negotiating 7% off MSRP

edmunds.com still does not have the invoice pricing...weird.
I can tell you that when I go to MBUSA.COM and build the exact same car I bought last month (MY2011) it is now exactly $1,090 more, and that was all in the base price, as the P1 option is still $4,000 and is the only option my car has on it.
This makes me very happy as it now bumps the deal that I got to an even better $11,328 off compared to to a 2012....Yes, I know the 2012 has improvements, but in my case, were those improvments worth $11,328?

I encourage you to give Truecar.com a try. List, dealer cost AKA invoice for the car, accessories, packages etc. Then it shows you what the dealer "holdback" is. Most cars it is 3%. This is 3% below the dealer cost. Add in incentives. Discover what others have paid for this car in your area. It will also "grade" your deal as to below, median or above what others have paid. Know the price of every package and the holdback before you shop.
I strongly believe in internet shopping, then calling the dealership to speak to the internet sales manager or general sales manager. The only way he gets you in the door is with a good price.
I also believe in using a reputable, conveniently located dealership that is family owned, not owned by a conglomerate. Find that great dealer and have them give you the same price. Call the sales manager. His concern is moving the car. If you buy he will assign your transaction to the next salesman on the "up" list who has to sell the car at the price agreed to by the boss. That great dealer doesn't have the exact car you want, easy let him know what dealer has it in his inventory. They can easily do that also but you are letting him know you did your homework.

Another great idea, join the Mercedes Benz Club of America, (MBCA). Six times a year an informative magazine printed on quality stock. After you are a member for a year you can sign on to their website and print a $1000.00 certificate to apply to the purchase of your car AFTER you have agreed to a price with the dealer.

Anymore? Hype, since the invention of the car dealership, no thinking person should ever take the word of a dealer. lol I have found that most dealers know less about the product they sell than I do. Of course, you could sleep in a Holiday Inn Express....

Many good points in the posts here. To add:
The "honest" Invoice Price is generally considered to be -7% off MSRP for the base car and factory-installed options, after subracting out the Destination (Shipping) Charge. After taking the 7% off, the Destination Charge is added back on.
Many dealers and websites are trying to sell the idea that 6% is the Invoice Price, allowing 1% for dealer "advertising costs/marketing fees." Even staunch consumer advocate Consumer Reports has bought into this, having adjusted the pricing on their on-line buyer's service to accomodate the fees as though they were a fixed part of the deal.
This is simply not true. Rather, that 1% is negotiable. I'm no haggler, yet I made it go away and got -7%. You can too.
And of course you're free to try for more off, taking into consideration the items mentioned by others here, market conditions, etc.

It all depends on leverage and education of the deal.
If you live in a market that is monopolized by one dealer, don't be affraid to work with an out of town dealer where there is competition. Only after I mentioned that I had quotes from Los Angeles and San Diego did I get the dealership here to move. A E-350 in Houston is the same E-350 in Tampa...don't be affraid to get on a plane, it might save you $5,000!

Hi all,
New to the Forum - considering a E550 coupe in the future. Question on the MBCA discount. I understand you need to wait a year after joining , but is the $1000 discount on top of your best deal through the AAA or USAA program?
Thanks much.
Joe

I just took delivery of my 2012 E350 and I got the USAA discount plus the $1,000 from MBCA membership. My salesman first said it couldn't be done

Thank MB-Jim,
I just went to the MBCA site and they refer to the 2011 loyalty reward, but not 2012.
But since you just picked up a 2012 must still be good. I am going to call them next week just to confirm program is still in effect for new members signing up.

I ran into the same thing since only the 2012 E350 Coupe is shown in the USAA list. I had a girl from USAA call my dealer to tell him what to do. I did have to print out a certificate which I did at the dealer. Also, at first my salesman said I couldn't take the additional $1K MB Club discount but, thanks to help on this forum, I realized it could be done. I contacted the club headquarters and they assured me that both discounts could be used.
I gave the information to my salesman and I received both discounts. It was certainly nice to get a good discount on a new model year car.

This has all been posted in the past. Memory and/or STFF comes into play here. ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
7% = invoice
Holdback = 3%
Survey = 2% (depending on how the stealer did all year)
There also was rumors of other discounts.
Fact was that stealers signed up for MBUSA advertising, added it to the invoice and claimed it was there from the git-go. But I never saw a report of 1% for that until this thread. In my case it wasn't; it was lower.

Ask dealer whe (s)he does paperwork. If they are not willing to tell invoice and actual earning from sale, just move on.
And yes, BMW dealer showed me invoice, other pay they got from BMW and what actually they make selling me the car, really honest and simple.

my purchase
The 2012 E350 sedan with P1 and panoramic sunroof is listed at $56,455. I am buying it for $49,000 plus tax and license. I think this is a good deal. True car says that the price should be $53,575. I am scheduled to pick it up Nov. 16th.

Paulkchoi,
That is a great deal. We are in the market for a similar car. Care to share with me your sales contact, and discount details?
Much appreciated.

We first went to the Newport Beach dealer and they mentioned a $2000 discount from USAA for veterans. Then we went to the Long Beach dealership and after negotiating with the internet sales manager on a price for the E350 I mentioned the USAA discount. We went the 29th of Oct. so I think the dealership was trying to hit their sales numbers. I wasn't sure if the $49,000 was a good price, I actually told the sales manager's boss that I didn't think this was their best price. The sales manager looked momentarily irritated and I called him later and apologized. The web site (Edmunds) gave me the wrong information, the P1 and panoramic sunroof didn't add to the final msrp. 2012 E350 Sedan RWD, Sport, Arctic White, Almond MB-tex, Burl Walnut, Premium 1, Panorama Sunroof. Truecar suggests $53,575. Recents sales nationally, the lowest price is $50,382-$50,933. The manager that I am working with is a great person. I cancelled an earlier car (C250) that I had signed a contract for and put a deposit but never picked up. He didn't get upset and eventually I went back to him after almost buying at Infiniti and BMW. I can send you his name, the best car advisor I have ever met.
