2012 E350 Invoice Pricing?
When I negotiated the purchase of my BMW I had invoice pricing for everything which was essential in making sure the offer I was getting was legit.
Thanks in advance

according to this calculator, there is about 6% difference between MSRP and invoice, but reading some posts other people are negotiating 7% off MSRP
I can tell you that when I go to MBUSA.COM and build the exact same car I bought last month (MY2011) it is now exactly $1,090 more, and that was all in the base price, as the P1 option is still $4,000 and is the only option my car has on it.
This makes me very happy as it now bumps the deal that I got to an even better $11,328 off compared to to a 2012....Yes, I know the 2012 has improvements, but in my case, were those improvments worth $11,328?

I strongly believe in internet shopping, then calling the dealership to speak to the internet sales manager or general sales manager. The only way he gets you in the door is with a good price.
I also believe in using a reputable, conveniently located dealership that is family owned, not owned by a conglomerate. Find that great dealer and have them give you the same price. Call the sales manager. His concern is moving the car. If you buy he will assign your transaction to the next salesman on the "up" list who has to sell the car at the price agreed to by the boss. That great dealer doesn't have the exact car you want, easy let him know what dealer has it in his inventory. They can easily do that also but you are letting him know you did your homework.

The "honest" Invoice Price is generally considered to be -7% off MSRP for the base car and factory-installed options, after subracting out the Destination (Shipping) Charge. After taking the 7% off, the Destination Charge is added back on.
Many dealers and websites are trying to sell the idea that 6% is the Invoice Price, allowing 1% for dealer "advertising costs/marketing fees." Even staunch consumer advocate Consumer Reports has bought into this, having adjusted the pricing on their on-line buyer's service to accomodate the fees as though they were a fixed part of the deal.
This is simply not true. Rather, that 1% is negotiable. I'm no haggler, yet I made it go away and got -7%. You can too.
And of course you're free to try for more off, taking into consideration the items mentioned by others here, market conditions, etc.
If you live in a market that is monopolized by one dealer, don't be affraid to work with an out of town dealer where there is competition. Only after I mentioned that I had quotes from Los Angeles and San Diego did I get the dealership here to move. A E-350 in Houston is the same E-350 in Tampa...don't be affraid to get on a plane, it might save you $5,000!

New to the Forum - considering a E550 coupe in the future. Question on the MBCA discount. I understand you need to wait a year after joining , but is the $1000 discount on top of your best deal through the AAA or USAA program?
Thanks much.
Joe
I just went to the MBCA site and they refer to the 2011 loyalty reward, but not 2012.
But since you just picked up a 2012 must still be good. I am going to call them next week just to confirm program is still in effect for new members signing up.
I gave the information to my salesman and I received both discounts. It was certainly nice to get a good discount on a new model year car.

7% = invoice
Holdback = 3%
Survey = 2% (depending on how the stealer did all year)
There also was rumors of other discounts.
Fact was that stealers signed up for MBUSA advertising, added it to the invoice and claimed it was there from the git-go. But I never saw a report of 1% for that until this thread. In my case it wasn't; it was lower.
And yes, BMW dealer showed me invoice, other pay they got from BMW and what actually they make selling me the car, really honest and simple.
