Headlight Conversion
Ok, so I have noticed that a lot of people with P1 are upgrading to xenons. I want to do the same, but I have a leased car. Are there kits out there which I can install that are direct plug and play and don't require any modification for the wires, plastic, or anything similar? Also, how hard is it to install these kits?
I don't know anything when it comes to changing bulbs...I don't know what a "ballast" or the jargon of bulb changing. Is there an installation guide anywhere that shows step by step how to install these kits?
I really want more light output and after driving the S, I feel like I can't see a thing with the E. Thanks for your time. Post pics of your kits if it's convenient for you.

installing HID conversion kits are pretty simple....you can either do a ghetto installion where you let the ballast show in the engine bay, or you can do a nicer job and mount the ballast elsewhere...hidden away...and zip tie the wires securely....I've help friends install by removing the bumper and installing the ballast under the headlight assembly mounted to the body.
Also, never touch the HID bulb (or any bulb for that matter) with your bare fingers/skin....the oils from your finger/skin will get heated up, and can blow the bulb...I've heard and seen it happen. If you do happen to accidentally touch the glass bulb...use rubbing alcohol to clean.
