Dyslexic TPMS?

Well cooler temps has me topping off the tires. I do have aftermarket rims and tires so the TPMS units may not have went back to the corner they originated from. So in essence I air up the right side and the reading from the TPMS console increases on the left. Is this car not any smarter than that and what do the 4matic people do when they rotate tires? Is there some type of reset? I read in the owners manual and my understanding is that it will recognize the change. Well it's been over a year since I put these tires and wheels on. It's not really a problem now since I know what's going on but imagine the difficulty in not knowing. lol. Any clues?

I had the same issue after changing rims and just left them switched until i had to change tires. Now they're reading correctly. (I moved the wheels to the side they were registering from. it wasn't automatic.)

Let us know if the reset works.

On the dashboard bring up the TPMS, click on it and reset.

I believe the question it asks is "Do you want to make these the new values?" or something akin to that. Yes or No. Click on Yes.

Thanks stemags.

I did the reset so I guess next time I need air in the tires I'll know if it worked.
