Guys, just caught on to this thread. Ton of good info. I just went to 55tech site to check out the grill for distronic which is what I have. It says there are no instructions included which is odd but is there a video or text walk through on the disassembley and reassembly process?

On a gun metal grey, pano roof, tinted windows, what do u think between these two. *Note the second one is gloss black and not matte black.

Any fitment issues between 2010 and 2013 models?
I hate to dig up an old thread - especially without a picture. Maybe I'll add one
Anyway, bought the wife a 2013 E350 and she prefers the grille on the 14+ and I confidently told her I could get her something close. Ordered one from an ebay seller where it's claimed to fit. Looks like it should, but it's "flatter" and the lover "V" isn't quite as pronounced. Did he ship me the wrong model, or is a 2013 slightly different? It's really hard to tell from all the pics.
Thanks in advance for any feedback!

You need to put it in place all the way to see the fit.

I could try forcing it, but the tabs would likely snap and it still wouldn't fit. The seller asked if I had received a rubber trim piece - which I didn't - but I'm not going to fill a gap with rubber if the tabs aren't able to hold the darn thing in place.
Unfortunately I assumed that the more expensive of the ebay units would be better

This is my grill
I have also Plasti dipped all my grilles with success, it is very easy and lasts for a loooong time also.
Make sure you spray on thin layers eash time and let it dry well.
Spray on at least 5 layers for best result.
I know there is some other plasti dips from other manufacturers( Dont use it) only plast dip works!!!!

Thanks alot BlownS4
I also would like an 550 Biturbo, but i have to be satisfied with my tuned 250 cdi
I bought it from here http://www.ebay.com/itm/MERCEDES-W21...-/151211661611
Feels a little cheap but with some PlastiDip, it feel alot better
