Tilt motor failure

The tilt motor in my steering wheel failed. Fortunately under warranty. Since I am the only one that drives my car, probably would not have noticed unless someone mentioned here that easy exit/entry failed on their car. I tested mine and sure enough it was not working.
This also means that if you use memory, your wheel will not tilt nor can you adjust the tilt with the control on the steering wheel.

Test your Tilt/telescope

The dealer was excellent, but it took a day and a half to get it done. Apparently most or all of steering column had to be replaced and then everything re-programmed. They did provide a loaner.
Would recommend you test your tilt and telescope, memory and easy exit/entry functions frequently.
Will it die again - after warranty is up?

Consider yourself lucky. Mine took over 2 months to fix as the motor was on backorder, according to my dealer.

mine was fixed by re-flashing the system....motor works when I had to adjust the steering wheel...it just didn't tilt up and away during entry/exit.

They tried that originally, but it did not work.
On mine, the neither tilt control nor the memory tilt function worked, as well as the easy/exit entry not working.

I'll guess that those with entry-exit activated might suffer this problem far more so. My wheel usually stays in one place, so unless it's a complete POS, I'd hope it would still tilt eternally, considering the limited use.
