Advice needed - Media interface plus on 2012 E550

Hey,
We just took ownership of a 2012 s550 here in Canada and have the rear entertainment pkg. Can someone kindly advice if the Media interface plus comes standard on the 2012 and is it possible for the front or rear passengers to watch videos off my iphone?
Does the iphone have to be connected and if not, can I use command to go thru the playlist instead of using my iphone to find songs/playlists/videos etc.
P.S. I know this is the e-class section but members seem to respond faster here, plus our last car was a 2010 e550

No CD changer or option 518 Media interface
Hi,Well What I read is quite interesting and informative. 6 months after taking delivery of my new E550 2012 sedan I realize that my car was one of those delivered without the Media interface or CD changer. I realized this when I tried to plug in my Ipod I offered my wife for Xmas. Furthermore the dealer knowingly sold me this car without informing me of the missing equipment. What did not help matters is that at delivery he remitted me the interface cables to connect the Ipod for a car that comes without the required jack. My dilemna is this; what sort of compensation would be fair and equitable given that I will have limited use of the Ipod and/or will not be able to enjoy the other features of the Media interface? This option cannot be dealer installed and the replacement of the CD for a CD changer involves the complete replacement of the COMMAND center at more than 4000$! I also believe that the fact that the dealer knowingly sold me this vehicle without informing me of the missing equipment desserves a punitive measure.
