Bluetooth problem iphone 4, IOS 5.0.1, Comand 4.5
When I start the car, my phone connects to Comand, however most of the time, if I try to "dial name", I am told that there is no notebook. I realize that the comand system, for whatever reason, reloads the phone book each time it connects to my phone and that takes a minute or two.....but I can wait 15 minutes and still get the "no phone book loaded" message.
Does anyone else have this issue?
The only way I can work around this is to power off the phone and reestablish the bluetooth connection.

How do I determine what version COMAND I have? I've held off upgrading to iOS 5.0.1 to avoid issues.

If you have a globe as the last icon on the top of your screen that brings up Sirius weather, you have 4.5. Other hints...color dash; small slot under the knob in the middle of the dash instead of a larger slot with a little chrome on it ...but the globe "button" next to the system "button" is the best indicator.

I have a 2011 E350 with 4.5 Command and the voice command does suck on it. It is very unreliable. I have an appointment on Thursday at the dealership to get it looked at. However, I went out to the garage this afternoon and tried it with just the ignition on, car not running and the damn voice command worked like a champ on three successive attempts. The last time I drove it, the voice command would not work at all. I always get the same response, "Your phonebook is empty, cancelled." I can get it to work manually but that is more dangerous whille driving than using the cell phone! I'lll see what the dealership says on Thursday.

Pardon the partial threadjack, kinda on the same subject. How do I know if I have voice command, and or any iphone compatibility with my (new to me) CLS55? And if I do not have, can it be added?
