DVD - Video

Hi all,
Did anybody experience that DVD video goes back to scene 1 everytime that you start your car? is this a DVD issue or a setting in the car's DVD video system? Any idea? Thanks

yeah, haha, I gave up on that a while ago.....pretty annoying huh?
I don't know a work around, but might use it again if there was one....
kind of stupid unless it returns to the same spot, kind of like any regular dvd player, lol
guess it's a safety thing maybe? have you tried 'pausing' it before shutting off, or run any experiments? sorry to answer a question with questions
hope we learn something...

My dvd video starts up exactly where I left it whenever I turn off the vehicle with no additional required steps... only thing is I have a NavTV video-in-motion installed.

My video picks up at the same place left off whether I press the pause or stop button or even if I don't press anything when I either change to Audio or Phone or turn the car off. Turning the car back on and then going to video will start the DVD at the same place left off.
And, I don't have any aftermarket stuff installed in my car - all stock.
After reading this thread I thought the issue was like in my wife's car where the kids will have to press the stop button for the DVD to remember where it left off the next time the car was restarted, but not the case for mine.
FYI.
