Hey everybody,

I have the stock 18inch staggered continentals on the car. Under normal driving conditions how many miles can I expect to get out of these tires? So far they have been pretty good. I have approx 18k miles on them.

if normal is really "normal", they should last at least 30-40k miles or more. but like what hyper said, it really depends. not just your driving habits but the road conditions as well.

Hard to say. A properly rotated (you can't rotate staggered easily) set of all-season tires driven at a "normal" pace should give you 35-50k miles - that is assuming proper alignment and air pressure at all times. There is nothing wrong with Conti tires.

Mine are fine too - as has been every set of Contis I've owned. As replacement tires, they come with road hazard warranty and are mostly rated quite high, normally in the the top 3 in any comparison.

It's kinda strange to me that you complaint about Contis poor performance whereas other car owners seem to like them .
Are you sure yours are made in Germany may be country specs . I mean years ago Michelin's far east models got many complaints while true European stuffs scored good customer reviews

I've always enjoyed Contis as well. Use Pro-contact for a number of years and recently out DWS Extreme contact on our last Volvo which somehow seemed even better? Considering the DWS to replace the runflats on our ML.

Just had the 20k service done and the rears are down to about 4/32. Dealer says they have 3 - 4k left. I am running the stock conti the car came with. I have no opinion on these tires. I have no idea if I am a normal driver or not, but generally no jack rabbit starts or burnouts. At least not yet.
