Have a car ordered for March Delivery.

Few months ago, dealer told me there was no engine block heater on the NEW engine.

Now, they tell me the 2012 CLS has the same engine and has arrived with a engine block heater installed and ASSUMES mine will have one also. I can't get a confirmation on this for the 2012 E550 as they don't have one in stock.

Can any Canadian owners who have recently taken delivery of this model help me out by confirming their car came with this installed on the engine?

Once you have a VIN number you just might be able to find out if it has one or not through the startek website.

Yes, it will be there. It is an in-hose solution and won't show up as a line-item on the build sheet as the option is included in the country code for Canada (460).

You will have to purchase the connector cable from your parts department.

My 2011 E350 4Matic (Canadian) came with a block heater. As another poster said, you will just need to have the dealer add the connector cable. I'm willing to bet that yours will have the block heater too.
