I probably wouldn't go for hybrid myself but would love them to bring that here as well to really mix things up. I would more likely go for a I-4 2.1 diesel with a big turbo as ridiculous as it seems in the US these days.

I would want better seats. I feel more like I'm sitting on a pillow than in a supportive seat. To make mine worse, I have the vented feature that seems to take away padding so the seats are harder. The coupes have much better seat designs.

I love my car. I have zero complaints so far. I ordered it with everything but Distronic, so most of the things listed above I already have.
But...if i were looking to change a few things....
1. Leave the damn tranny in S mode! I'm getting used to it, but hitting that button every time i get in just detracts from my sense of occasion. I hit 4 buttons before i move the car...Heated wheel, heated seat, massage, and S button.
2. The top of the steering wheel is in my view of the signal light blinker, when it's in the most comfortable position. I generally have my music on, so i end up peeking down to make sure it's on or off once in a while.
3. Drive dynamic massaging seat for the passenger like the S-Class offers...apparently Germany won't let us have it for some reason.
4. a 20" wheel option, window tint, lowered suspension, a nice ecu tune, clear side markers, front & rear spoilers, remote starter, 2-12" subs in the trunk, and a set of wings so it can fly over other cars, etc.

haha, that's a lot of buttons to press, I can relate: heated seat button, dyno seat button, massage button, amg button, esp button, extra suspention button....
then un-muting the music....lol
kind of like preparing for flight.......a long check list......but worth it in my opinion......
of course I don't need to press 'em all.......it's damn fun

+1 on the standard HID lights
1. Still prefer MT over AT, but wudrugonnado, eh?
2. Go flats over run flats, gimme a small spare or a mobility kit
3. Thigh extension in the seats (front)

Yeah, I forgot about hitting the S every time I start my car. I wish it would stay in the position it was when you turned off your car. Heated rear seats would be nice and the massage dynamic for the passenger also.

i'm not sure why but my previous bmw blocked the view of the signals as well. what i normally do is just tap it once. i know it blinks three times and it's sufficient enough for lane changing.
+1. why only the driver has all the fun w/dynamic seats? it's a bargain for this option but they can jack the price up and throw that in for the passenger side. i think most of the people who have this option now are willing to pay more if this is on their option list in the future.

[quote=BM2BZ;5055786]not only the s button, i have to press and hold memory 1 button every single time as the side bolsters are back to their "normal" position after turning off the engine .

Mine move back a bit overnight, but not to original position.
The good news for everybody....everything mentioned in this thread is relatively minor. No car has ever been perfect, but Mercedes-Benz did a damn good job with the W212.

features that I wish MB offered:
1. rear head rests that fold flat like the old W210
2. separate control for the rear pano glass shade
3. orange rear turn signals
4. dedicated headlight washer switch
5. rear door side window shades in the sedan
6. front side cameras like the BMW 535
7. rear door airbags
8. heated steering wheel in the wood/leather combo
features I wish I had ordered
1. leather
2. rear seating heating

2013 E350 Wagon, prev 2005 ML 500 SE
changes
Don't own one yet but for E Wagon:
1. 550 model with new twin turbo gasser
2. BlueTec diesel option
3. 17" AMG split 5 spoke wheels available, not just 18"
Stop treating the E Wagon as a second class citizen---give it the same options as the E Sedans!!!!!!!!!!

To add:
LET ME CONTROL MY OWN DAMN HEADLIGHTS! (let me turn them off if I want to).
Stay in "S" mode (all cars go to Comfort, BMW, etc., it's so these guys can tout/advertise better MPG)
HIDEOUS Honk HAS to go. What a way to drop M-B from a Luxury Manufacturer to something audibly similar to a $14K Chevy. I turned mine off, but it's ridiculous and anything but "Premium".
Lot's of these complaints, otherwise, are available Options on the car. You guys gotta realize that M-B engineers and positions this car to a certain price point. With standard HID's, Leather, Standard Keyless Go, etc., the car will start costing similar to a larger S-Class. M-B "strips" the car so it can be more affordable, otherwise with all these creature comforts, it'll cost a lot more. Personally, I prefer M-B Tex, and I'm happy HID's aren't Standard, as I like to have Options that I can pay up for that separate my car from the more "Standard" E's, otherwise all our cars would look and perform the same. I wish more things were Options, in fact.

are you guys talking about the big loud honk after locking the car, like some of those american and/or japanese cars ? i'm definitely missing something here. i have three beeps after locking the car and have never heard of any honk after pressing the lock button from any mercedes i've seen from the street and my friends .

I admit: it didn't really bother me until KA mentioned it being on the cheapish side......(the bogus non chirp)
then it started bothering me, LOL.......so I turned it off........
plus it isn't as attention grabbing to have it IMO......

Coming from a W211, this feature survived exactly 1 day with my new 550. I'm fine w/ a flash of the lights but do kinda miss the quick beeps of my W211.
