1. Cruise control stalk has got to go.
2. Parametric EQ and Independent subwoofer control with better HK subwoofer in sedan.
3. AC recirculation stays on upon restarting car.
4. Multifunction Driver Interface knob controls music volume. (What is the purpose of turning the wheel for the next or previous track when pushing the wheel left to right does the same thing? Way to easy to accidentally turn the wheel and the next song starts playing.)

I actually like this seems to be a setup surviving from the W124 at least but perhaps I am nostalgic.

Agreed when having a CD in etc not sure why you need to rapid fire to change the track but the turn is good for XM radio etc. The function is repetitive though and would be nice to able to change the volume without reaching to the dash or steering wheel (did I just say that?)

Dude, M-B has the best and most unique CC setup available! That thing is a legacy by now and incredibly intuitive IMO. The positioning can get confusing, but I heard they switched the CC and Turn Signal stalks on the new ML, so maybe they corrected that from here on out.

I too love the way the Cruise Control is done on every Benz. One stalk to do everything. And I like the stalk to be in its original place. People kept complaining that the they would activate the cruise control when trying to signal because of its position. I did that once or twice on my first Benz. Since that it has been a non-issue and I find it to be in a very comfortable and convenient place. I find it annoying on the new ML that it is down so deep compared to its original position. I have a Pavlovian reflex to flick the cruise control off with my fingers whenever my radar detector goes off all without moving my hand on the steering wheel.

Side mirrors that aren't minuscule for the size of the car
Better stereo
More comfortable seats
Key Fobs that can be linked to memory settings in car
Put the turn signal lever where it should actually belong
Make it so you can actually see your wiper setting while driving (steering wheel blocks the lever so you can't tell what setting you have)
2011 doesn't have driver side mirror tilt when in reverse feature
Dedicated steering wheel buttons for changing radio station so you can use steering wheel controls to change channel regardless of what you have on interface screen (i.e. nav, service, etc. etc.).
I am sure I can add 10 more annoyances with this car. Every time I get in I have to remind myself it is a $60k car because so many little nice to have things are missing.

This Lexus I'm driving around right now has a driver side tilt. It drives me nuts as it's very uneffective to me (even dangerous). What is the purpose of it, out of curiosity (not being condescending, literally wondering where it would benefit the driver)?

Parallel parking on a one way street is the only thing I can think of. Oh and illegally parallel parking on a 2 way street

With my E350, as I only got P1 I would've liked to been able to pick and choose other small options such as:

1. Xenon Lighting Package
2. Power Rear Trunk Lid

As for things that deal with the car itself and not the options or packages, I wish the car would:

3. Allow me to control the climate control through voice recognition like in my Lexus GS350. (Unless you can which I'm unaware, someone enlighten me if this is the case.)

1) i Love my motor...but i think i would like the new 2012 motor =D
2) folding mirrors
3) dimmer on right side passenger mirror (aggravating when one is blinding your right eye...not sure why they did that)

and maybe giving me the options to turn off my headlights. going in and out of garage during the day annoys me when it's on..

You know you can turn off the honking sound in the steering wheel controls, right?

That only lowers the rear headrests to their lowest position. My W210 E class would let you fold them flat onto the rear parcel shelf.

i have yet touched that button as the headrests don't really bother me and thought it's doing the same thing as previous models .

My W211 did that too. Not sure why they took that made it so you can't actually drop the headrests back, but I think at least a part of it is due to the design of the car getting in the way of that function. Older Sedans had longer, rounded out back windows, with longer trunk areas. The E Sedan, in its quest to modernize the proportions into more "Coupe" treatments to mix with its Sedan legacy, has a shorter deck, shorter rear window, and a flatter rear window (less bubble). Less function, more form, it's a give and take really.

Very simple request...

Stop putting run-flat tires on US e350 Bluetec's. Use normal tires and provide the same inflator kit that is supplied in the rest of the world.
