Pilot Sport a/s warning

Pilot Sport a/s warning
pilot sport a/s don't wear evenly with the 42psi recommended at the rear tires.
There has been debate on the board regarding optimal tire pressure since
one placard states gives a range (eg 36-42 for the rear tires).
I have put ~15,000 miles on a rear set of pilot sport a/s.
I kept the tire pressure on the upper margin eg. 42 psi.
Now I have an obvious overinflation wear pattern on both rear tires.
So much so, the dealer suggested replacing the tires.
I am a bit ticked about this. I am going to drop the rear pressure to 33psi to
hopefully even out / prolong the life of these tires.
Advice -> keep the rears at 36psi.

Thats where I don't like the US one fits all mentality. I prefer the German version that lets you know via a pic how much for how much loading, and/or prolonged hi-speed driving.
I'm also a proponent of checking my tire pressure frequently and looking at my tire tread for obvious wear signs.

sorry to hear that MJ, I'd try discount tire in Durham near target, they have unreal service and good prices too.
Sometimes I wish I didn't have the ability to even check the numbers.....because I'm always doing it....lol, but mine are usually 36ish front and 40ish rear......
as they flux when warmer....
see you around,
