Two weeks ago Saturday, my wife and I came out of a local sporting goods store to see two guys taking pictures of ours in the parking lot. As we approached, they told me they had to take pictures when they saw it. They did use several adjectives describing how great they thought it looked and the one guy said as they walked off, "it was truly a Kodak moment." I hadn't heard that phrase in a good while, but I was smiling ear to ear!

2008 S65 Flint Grey/Black. Wife's car: 1/5/10 2010 E550 Palladium Silver/Natural Beige Leather P2 +
Distronic. Couldn't live without it. Have it on the S65 so it's become a must have on all future cars. The E550 is my wife's so all the other things mentioned regarding the car I can agree with. When compared to other MB classes I think the E class is the best MB for the money. If you load it up you r still looking at ~$62-$64K. Factor in the better depreciation and it beats the S.

1. Distronic ... I can't wait to take a road trip that really takes advantage of this feature.
2. A side view mirror control that is logical and easy to operate, as opposed to the 535.
3. Cup holders that are functional and well place and not compromised by the shifter ... Which suggests that I really like the column shifter ... It's so easy to use!
And I have had the car for only a week ... The look of the black exterior with black leather and black ash and tinted windows really rocks!

Emergency braking is the most important feature to me.Someone on this forum recently told of an occasion when it kicked in with his vehicle and he said it was amazing.I,OTOH,hope never to need it in my car but it's nice to know that it works as advertised.
And BTW....black/black in Texas??? *That* must be fun from around March to around November!!
