E350 BlueTEC Sport--need buying advice
I plan to purchase a 2012 E350 BlueTEC Sport in the next week or so. I have been doing a lot of reading and am confused as to what constitutes a great price or even a fair price. I have priced it on TrueCar and received two bids through a car buying service 1)$56,465 MSRP Final Price $52,523 and
2) $58,875 MSRP Final Price $54,765. I found a car in a local dealer's inventory that I'm more interested in with a MSRP $59,635.
So my question is, can you tell what a fair price is based on the MSRP? Some people advise determining what the dealer paid for the car then adding some amount(profit) to that price, but I don't know how to do that. Do most people think the target price on TrueCar is reasonable? I would really appreciate any advice since I haven't bought a new car since 2005 and a lot has changed. Thank you.
FYI--I live in Los Angeles and will be buying, not leasing the car.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Right now MB has cash back promotion for E-class, which is $3,000. That means that you may negotiate the best price with your dealer and than apply this offer. I would start from invoice price minus $3K, which I think is already a great price for BlueTec. Dealers not willing to negotiate BlueTec models as well as regular due to high demand low supply of those car.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.

You can search for it by title or use my name RSIKR to find threads I contributed to. There is a lot of buying advice in there from many members.
The BlueTec may be a more difficult car to deal on.
Do you qualify for USAA? MBCA?
Read that thread I suggested.
Good luck, let us know how you made out.
