BlueEfficiency

Does anyone know what Blue Efficiency actually means?

I looked on the MB site and they are very "nebulous" about it.

Seems like a fell good ecology program with very little concrete information.

I think it's more of a PR thing than anything else but I wish they didn't have to put that damn tag on both sides of my new car.

Anyone agree or am I missing something?

It is meant for cars with added fuel efficiency measures.

BlueTec, Hybrid, or even gas engines with lighter weight and more aerodynamic measures.

No idea what "blue" refers to for the gasoline cars. For the diesels I guess it refers to the "AdBlue" additive they use.

It does sound better than "Green Efficiency", though.

It's just a dumb marketing term that's supposed to convey efficiency in vague/ubiquitous ways.

It's a joke that they put it on the sides of all new M-B's. Talk about an eye sore. A Member here even said that they weren't even centered or aligned right on each side (and weren't even in the same places as the other on the opposite side). A definite "first mod" to get rid of them, if they were on mine.

Same thing as BMW efficientdynamics, doesn't really mean anything. Mazda has Skyactiv technology... all marketing.

I'd have the dealer remove them for you. They work on these cars all day long, and can probably remove them with minimal risk.

I'm assuming they similar to removing the model badges on the back (i.e. E550, 4Matic, etc.)

Heat them up a little bit & stick something plastic underneath one end of the emblem & lift...they're not stuck on very well.

Waxed dental floss. Back and forth will take any badge off without any damage.
