Ordered this car approx Feb1. It was mfg on 3/2 and delivered to MBUSA port on 3/22 and to my local dealer 3/28. Took delivery 3/30. This is my 27th MB starting w/ 280SL in 1971. Had 2010 & 2011 E350. In addition to new engine there are several subtle changes.
This is most likely to be my last MB as age is catching up on me. So I decided that I would order exactly the car that I wanted.
2012 E350 Sport in black and the ASH interior,P2,lane tracking and dynamic drivers seat. Before ordering I search everywhere but no dealer had such a car.
Also transferred my Mandrus Mellenium wheels. Had dealer swap out Conti Procontact tires for Conti Extreme Contact DWS tires ---which he did @ no charge.
What a difference! Had Pirelli P Zero Neros before which were ok. Interesting that Extreme Contact tires are no more than Procontacts. Read reviews for these tires on Tirerack.com. No brainer. Also love the ash interior as it is light and airy. Having my Valentine V1 reinstalled on Wed and then I should be ready to go!
Used my USAA discount along with MBCA $1000 program for a great price. Over the past 3 years have received $5000 from MBCA against new purchases. Anybody who doesn't belong to MBCA is passing up free $$$.
