Yeah, I also notice more AMG poseurs than M poseurs.
Is it me, or are there more "underclass" buying Merc's these days? Maybe it's the fact that they keep offering cheaper models and drop their MSRP prices like rocks after incentives/subsidizing, so those who seek badge-supremacy at the cheapest possible cost foam out the mouths, buy it, and then act as if they are the coolest gift to the world.... but I just feel like a less "intelligent" or "classy", let's say, demographic of people are adorning Star's on their hood or most likely, grille's.
Then again, it's probably 'cause I'm paying such close attention now. Cheesy people have always also bought Merc's, namely popularized in the 80's.

Cheesy, seemingly unintelligent people. Finances don't have anything to do with it in reality, however the cheaper the car, the more accessible it is to a wider population, allowing more people to represent it.
Case in point, the driver of the O/P pictured car.
I sometimes see lewd and brash underclass in Phantom's as well.
Somebody might think I'm underclass. Which would make my argument toward those flocking to M-B more apparent.

Underclass is just the wrong word to use. If someone has crappy taste it doesn't matter what car they own they will "cheese" it up regardless.. Not everyone has the same taste, for example there are many different style wheels on the market for a reason.. but the pics the OP posted is just a prime example of ridiculous/unnecessary stick on mods.

Hmm, just looked up the actual definition of "underclass". I think what I thought it meant is a bit different from what it actually means.

This makes me want to go out and have this done to my 550. You would have to admit it would make it unique and give me an extra 30 hp....LOL

So, let's have JBSPEED sell some badges for such cars to outperform a Lamborghini
