2013 polar white vs 2012 arctic white??
Anybody know how the new 2013 polar white color looks, compared to 2102 arctic white which is dropped for 2103??
I'm ordering 2013 and was going to order Arctic.
I'm hoping it is more cream/off-white and not in the direction of a plain refrigerator/appliance white....

Interested to see the differences as well.
The creaminess of the Arctic White ads some depth and richness (and dynamism) to the "White" as opposed to more pure and flat whites.

Arctic is very creamy. I park next to a Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, and others, all in white, and my car looks almost yellow-cream, barely even white when next to them. I don't know how it compares to Alabaster, but compared to common clinically appliance grade white's, it's quite a warm color.
Manufacturers tend to go more "white" as they update their white colors, so I wouldn't be surprised if Polar White goes more hyper white than creamy white.

Oh I'm definitely not denying that (never even knew when A.W started or that the earlier whites are different), but A.W is still quite creamy and warm on its own. I think Polar White will probably be more pure white, predictably.

The diamond white is ever so slightly "creamier" than arctic white if that is what you want to know. But diamond white has a nice sparkle to it that really comes out in sunlight or whenever you shine a light to it. A big difference compared to the arctic white.

Pax---another color option, how do you think an E Wagon in Iridium Silver with your Nat Beige leather interior would look? My ML is irid silver and I love the color but was thinking of trying white.

Came across these pics. The Luxury model (left from front and right from rear) is Polar White, while the Sport model is Arctic White.
As expected, Polar white is more typical WHITE white, while Arctic retains that more creamy/warm depth to it. Polar sure does pop though. Interested to see it on the W212.

Checked out the Polar Whites today. Yeah, at first glance it's definitely more "Basic WHITE WHITE", and they lack that "shadowy depth", i.e creamy quality of the Arctic White.... basically it looks like Arctic White without a dab of cream in the paint mix. However, I'd say that you can see that for what may be considered an "Appliance White" due to being straight up white-white, it has a richness to it still. It has this "frosty" sharp look and definitely pops, but isn't as depthy as Arctic due to Arctic's more various character traits.

Hello,
So polar white is the real pure white ?
Do you know if it is important to clean the car and protect the white paint with wax or nawadays cars do not really need any care ?
Thanks.

if wax is too much of a hassle use a synthetic sealant, they last 3-4 times as long as carnauba waxes

I like the Diamond white too: well worth the extra 795 or whatever it was
