You know, KA, you keep saying that the Es are "common"...like you see a lot of them everyday...? I must ask, where are you located because even in the nation's capital, where I'm located, I only see a smattering, @ best... There aren't a lot...oh, wait...I requalify my statement. W211s are very popular in my area, but I just don't see a lot of W212s, and this is breeding ground for "executive-ness" to say the least... When you refer to Es, you're speaking "as a whole", correct? Just trying to understand why you keep referring to the E as "common"...? The M-B brand, all MYs inclusive, should never be thought of as "common". ![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)

Come out to the Potomac Village area sometime. There are 5 w212's on my block! One time coming home I was in an oreo of w212s: black, white, black. You will not believe how many w212s are around. But, I think the current S-class would even outnumber the w212s. Most days, you'll find a Bentley or two in Potomac village. On weekends, several Ferrari's.

I don't really get compliments.Perhaps because both I and my Bluetec are fairly ordinary looking....no mods,no fancy equipment, very seldom "waxed and buffed",both gray

Yeah, thanks, BM2BZ for posting the link... And, CorvetteOJ, that engine is crazy
...lol (BTW, are you prior military? --just curious in regards to your "European" spec'd inventory of previously owned vehicles). To the others, I have to say that I didn't notice the W212s in this area as much as I do now... They are definitely out there! I just don't see a whole lot every day. I commute to work an hour+ each way, and on average, I'll see one or maybe two W212s (mostly '11 MY), and a butt-load of W211s & 210s. Some 211s are in seriously AWESOME shape, so much so that I almost wish I had that bodystyle--the '09 Sport is still sweet to gawk @! And good point about the S-class...after thinking about it, I do see a bunch of those on the road--that's a $100K-$150K+ piece of luxo machinery for goodness sake! I must be in the wrong career field...lol Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is, I truly "mbrace" the feeling of exclusivity owning an E-class (M-B is the ultimate brand in my eyes), and I cringe each time someone refers to the E as "common"... But I do get what you're saying now, K-A...thanks for clarification.

Those who think E's are "everywhere", don't get out into the common-folk neighborhoods. Whenever I step out of my own little bubble, I nary see an E anywhere. In areas near me that are more prominent with wealthier folk, I too see more S-Classes than E-Classes it seems.
