E350 - No Ambient Color Setting!!
I red dozens of reviews on the great ambient lights in the interior including the different colors (orange, etc.). Why I don't find it in my E350 2012 setting? I can only change the brightness (although actually I don't see any change)...
Please help!! Thanks

Porsche Macan S SportDesign / Ex M-B's: 11 & 10 & 06 E350's, 02 S500
The S and CLS and probably other M-B's that are launching post 2011 are coming with the 3 color ambients, and the facelift E will get it as well.
Fortunately for me, with the black/almond and burl wood combo, the only ambient lighting that looks good and appropriate with it is the yellow glow. Putting "ice blue" on that classy/old world color combo would be like putting neon Club lights in a luxury hotel lobby (yes, I recently saw this ).
With all black interiors, IMO it's a very nice plus, however.

MB E350 2012
Thanks for the answers about the ambient color.
A week with the car, and I love it. I spend 3 hrs a day in my E350 managing the rush-hour traffic situations in southern California. It is much easy with this car compared to my other accord before.
Anyway, I checked other published tip/tricks on the car, but some without success such as the Air Recycle for closing window/rooftop. Does not work.
Am I missing something?

Okay, what is your real goal here? Are you trying to put your Auto A/C on w/ air recycle on? Or are you trying to close your windows and sunroof w/ your keyfob? Or something else? Be very detailed in your response; it helps us help you!

Ahhh...that's real simple. While you're in the car, just push all the way down on your window actuators on your drivers side door. In other words, w/ the car running (or if you're still on reserve power after turning the car off), if your windows are open, PUSH all the way down then let up (don't be afraid, you won't break anything; use a little "finger force") on the front portion of the button for that window that you want closed. You should feel the button "step" through to a lower level and your window should go all the way down. Now, if you want it up, PULL (on the same button) all the way up like you're pulling on a soda can to open it, and your window should automatically roll up. Questions, please post back...

To the OP, that feature isn't available on US cars, to my knowledge.
As for the lack of multi-colored ambient lighting, I assume it's b/c the E-class was the first MB car (I think) to have that, so it probably just hasn't been updated (yet) to have the multi-color function....

I think what the OP is referring to is the "tunnel" mode that automatically closes all windows and the sunroof if you push and hold the "recycle" button for the HVAC.
