All,

Correct me if I am wrong, but it appears that for MB tex (didnt check leather) they use different seats for the sport vs. luxury models? The reason I ask is that in the dealership I noticed one type of seat is much firmer than another. The softer seat had tiny holes in the center cushion for the driver (i'm sure it was MB tex). The photo is of the firmer seat. I want the soft seats.

Those are the leather seats in the photo. Leather seats have the classic vertical pattern, M-B Tex have the horizontal pattern.

I.c. Ok thanks. Has anyone else noticed M-B Tex being softer and more padded than leather in the dealership? I guess leather gets softer as you stretch it and maybe break in the padding.

I have heard some say that the Leather seats have less padding or "give", but not sure personally. Seems you experienced that obviously though. I personally am not very impressed with the E's leather option and prefer the M-B Tex seats.... and that was before I realized that they may be more cushy.

The difference may be that the leather seats have the ventilation option while the MB Tex seats haven't got it. I've heard that seats having the ventilation option are firmer.
