Newbie (kind of...)
After 5 years of MB ownership and 2 R class vehicles, I decided it is time for something faster and more fun to drive. I also wanted to experience the German production line. I settled on 2012 E550. A really amazing automobile from every aspect. A big difference compared to my previos big and considerably under powered R Class. Enjoying every minute spent in it so far...

A8 was awesome 6-7 years ago. Very fast for a huge car like that. 300 HP aluminum body it was one of the best. Most of them had serious transmission issues. When I got first signs of mine going I dumped it... It pays to actively follow the forums. I hope the E Class is trouble free and reliable vehicle. ML and R class was not the best. I hope it is the AL built quality. Time will tell.

CDI was kind of a lemon... bad experience... bad transmission... and then secondary fuel pump kept failing leaving you stranded places... with the price of diesel in NJ there was no real benefit of owning it
