wheels for 2011 e550 4matic?

Just bought a brand new e550 4matic, and looking to put after market rims on it. I went to my wheel dealer and he said I can run 20x10 on the rear, and 20x8.5 on the front. Will this fitment work?

It depends on what offsets they offer.

What offset will it require, and what are the proper tire sizes? I don't want to get suckered into making an uninformed purchase. Thanks

Factory 18" offset is +48. Tire Rack sells both +35 and +45 offsets for their wheels. Fronts would be 245 and the back can fit 275 if you want to run stagger set.

I loved the staggered fit, and the aggressive look it gives the car. The guy I talked to told me I could get 285's on the rear on a 20x10 wheel.

Only MBs - the best or nothing
In order to run staggered 20" fitment on W212 E-class 4matic, these are your only choices:

1. 235/35-20 front and 275/30-20 rear - both front & rear 26.5" diameter

2. 245/30-20 front and 285/25-20 (only with 10" wide wheels) rear - front same as stock 25.8" diameter, while rear is a bit less at 25.6" (not ideal for 4matic, but still OK) .

The problem I see with choice number 2 above is that sidewall (if one can call it a sidewall) is almost non-existant IMHO.

Naturally I much prefer choice number 1 above regardless of the drive configuration.
