The rep at Sindelfingen told me that this was impossible. Having lived overseas for a majority of my adult life, I have grown to admire the metric system. I too, would like to display my temps in C.

This brings up why has the US not converted officially to the metric system? Most manufacturing and tooling in the US use metric measures. Even your drug dealers deal only in metric. The world is metric. It's time for the US to finally stop dragging their feet and convert officially now that we are all living in a global village with global economy.

you could be right, dave. i went through the manual of your model yr and i think i've mixed up the change of km and miles. you can do this w/the steering wheel but not the temp. i'm away from my car now and i want to check that out as well. this could be very stupid if we can change the speed unit but not temperature.

exactly. very simple task and my previous bmw did the same as well. but doesn't really matter it's a bmw, porsche or mb, all i can say is no car is perfect. people still don't understand why you need to insert the key and press the start button in a bmw .

Interesting question so I went out to my 2011 E350 Wagon.
There is nothing in the settings of my car that allows me to change the temperature settings. I looked at Instruments, convenience, vehicle etc.
My conclusion supports others that it cannot be done through Settings on the newer cars.

That's correct, there isn't a setting to have it done. Also, there isn't a setting in STAR either. What I've been told is that you must get a new, US climate control module (about $350) and have it installed, and some coding done to update it. I just am looking for someone who has done that on a W212. Thanks-

Shame
I also try to find it for S550 2015. There is no way. Stupid Mercedes. It sells car all over the world and no way to change F to C, but my Buick Enclave 2012 has it. Shame on you.
My Buick Enclave has miles per gallons and km per liters, there are metric units and english units. BMW has it too. Only so famous Mercedes does not have it.
See: Porto Rico has metric system, a lot of people in US are from other countiries, Mexico has litres, South America the same, a lot of people form South America here in US, and so smart Mercedes did not put to set units.
Also, if I buy entertaimnet for rear seats I cannot watch PAL(Europe) DVD's?
