New E owner, 2011 E550
Hey all, so assuming most of you saw my thread about debating trading my C300 for a E, well i just did it today! After a lot of hoops and issues (try being 26 and buying a E class, banks dont trust u at all) I finally got her home! (sorry for the shaky pics, cellphones dont make the best cameras)

Congrats! Our cars are very similar, so I know you will enjoy it!
As far as banks go, maybe try a credit union if there's one you can join, or a local bank if not. In my experience, big banks go completely insane if you don't match each and every one of their rules. When I was younger, credit unions and local banks were much more willing to accommodate individual situations.

Thanks, yea its sport. Using my iphone and it had that HDR thing on so it takes like 4 pics and combines them for a higher rez, but think i moved a tad while it was doing it so it got blurred. Im loving it so far

Well, your car came with diffuser as well . I presumed it was an AMG only unless you go for exterior mods

It's a cool effect, but often it gets overdone (like the pic of the bridge). I see it a lot in professional realty photos, particularly when they want to show the house at night. Looks terrible IMHO, but if it sells the house...

Much better then the C300! Love being able to actually change the suspension, just took it on a spin to the grocery store, can actually feel it change the moment i select sport or comfort. Airmatic is truly a wonder!
I didnt even notice! I just noted the few things i still want to add (roof/trunk spoiler, illuminated sills, and AMG door pins)
It does make some simple (car) photos look better, but only if the photographer has a steady hand!
Not higher resolution, but high[er] dynamic range (HDR). It takes several very fast photos at varying exposures and combines them to get the best of each. This is an old article, but lots of examples:

Do not forget AMG pedals your thoughts suggest me that you will really transform the car . I should also add I have got AMG door pins and it is a great add-on

It means it has the radar-guided cruise control option called Distronic, behind that rectangle is the radar to sense the distance of the car ahead. Very rare option, usually seen on loaded S550s and above. Awesome that he has it on the E.

I agree, it is rare. I live in an area where I see many E's every day, and to date I've seen one other than mine with D+. IMO, it is the best option on the car. I will never own another without. I use it each and every day, and I don't even commute!

Very nice! Bought my first Used E from a Dealer at 26 as well, then my first brand new E at 28. Even with great credit, I had to put down major downpayments (don't even want to think about how much I put down on my first Lease, not to mention being forced to pay off the remainder of the Loan on my other car). However, jump through those hoops, and you'll be able to get a big smile as Credit companies will ecstatically loan you into debt in the future.
BTW, I wonder why your car as the 4-spoke wheel instead of the 3, when it comes with the AMG wheels?

Thanks for all the comments guys she's amazing! Incredible ride. Used distronic for the first time, feeling the car being itself to a total stop with my feet off the brake is strange!

Great car! Congrats! Been "eye-balling" the '11 550s for sale out there myself, but can't quite bring myself to go back a MY. So, w/ or w/o mileage? Brand new? If so, got a good deal?

used, 16k miles, got it for a rather good deal i think 54. They are throwing in the clear wrap, and were able to work with me putting my down payment on my amex, so 18k down turns into 90,000 amex points, which is either a $900 amex credit or a transfer into about 180,000 frequent flyer miles :P

That doesn't make sense to me how you were able to get an Amex card w/ $18K+ available on it (obviously, Amex thought enough of you that you could shoulder such a significant balance), but yet the bank that ended up financing your auto loan demanded so much $$$ down so they wouldn't bear the risk... Really don't get that one...
