Officially outside it was "only" like 109 but on the road it's apparently a bit warmer.

Yeah, it was an even 100 here this afternoon. But driving on I25, with little wind and all those hot exhaust pipes in front of me, the car temp guage went to 107. Get off the Interstate and the temp blows back down to 100.

It was 105 in southern New Mexico today. All I can say is the air conditioner works great!

Thanks so much for posting this. We're all complaining here because it's going to be in the upper 90's for a few days. P.S.: I'm very familiar with your weather. One of my best friends is a denizen of Quartzsite. Yes, he's strange, but less so than most of the other residents. At least he comes east to cool down on his New York farm for the summer and he becomes re-acquainted with civilization briefly. Just long enough to convince him he needs to get back to the desert asap.

No, thanks! At least here in the desert when it's 100 the humidity is 5-20%. I sure your humidity never gets below 60%, does it?
