I too continue to have poor AM/FM reception. The dealer mod of metalic tint was replaced by ceramic tint (at no charge) ... better reception now, but no like my older cars had. Also, FM HD reception continues to be spotty as I drive - the radio shows it shifting from FM HD to just FM and back again as I drive through the different areas.

The radio will automatically switch between regular signal and HD, which will cause some tone fluxuations. Try turning off HD on the AM band to eliminate this. See if that helps.

2012 E350 Bluetec, 2014 GLK250, 2007 CLK350 convertible
We have a 2014 GLK 250 and have lousy AM reception. Discussed it with service manager at the dealer, they said they checked it out with no problem noted. No mods.
