E320 Estate for wafting and M3 SMG for blasting!
The only reason to buy a diesel is to save money with better consumption.
My E320cdi (My07)...
My wifes 320d M-Sport Touring auto....
Torque means sod all, it is simply what we multiply with rpm to give us our BHP figure, just us boring diesel owners mention it when we try to justify how good our diesels are!!
In reality if gas cars got 50% more better MPG than diesels do you really think diesels would even reach 10% of total sales??
Of course not.
It cost me $165 to fill up my E350cdi on Monday and the same again tonight, so even a 20% saving is worth it for me as it is my biggest expense in motoring.
But when the BMW 528i gets better MPG than my E350 cdi it does annoy slightly.
