E-400 Hybrid Spotted
I was just east of Denver last week on I-70 and I had what I though was a E-350 need to move over so I let him over.
Then I saw a E-400 on the back the only E-400 I knew about was the V8 diesel but on the right side it said HYBRID the tag was from Michigan and was a Manufacture plate.
That is all I know.

MBWorld Fanatic!
At last January's Detroit Auto show Mecedes displayed both the new E-400 (gas hybrid) and the E 300 (diesel hybrid).I was told that the 400 would appear here soon but the 300 was "Europe only".I,personally have zero interest in any gas hybrid but the E 300 features 55mpg (4.2litres/100km) and 500 ft lbs of torque.*That* I'd be interested in.

Yea, I don't get the point of the E400 Hybrid, it is rated at 27 MPG city and 31 MPG highway and will probably cost more than the Diesel, the article I read is that they did it so they have something to compete with BMW and Audi since they are/will offering hybrids. That and the fact that Americans still have a stigma about diesel but they love hybrids.

I would be good with a twin turbo V8 diesel E-400.
GM killed the diesel with the 70' & 80's diesels that they made for U.S. auto makers.
People still think that Benz's are slow due to the fact that so many 80's Benz's kept going for so long.
My 06 got about the same mileage as my brothers 07 Toyota Camery hybrid , I still have my diesel his hybrid is gone , not to be replaced with a hybrid.
My diesel replaced a diesel before it.
