My MB service guy said not to use metallic tire valve caps. It could screw up the RF signal from the TPMS (I'm an RF engineer and the cap causing interference depends on where the antenna is). Is this true?

Yup, I have heard this as well. This is why I am using MB logo OEM valve stem caps . Funny thing is standard non logo caps were not plastic .The present MB logo caps on the car look like metal as well
