Hello all,

When looking for a used E350, I’ve found this specimen:

Now, in Europe, the 2011 facelift (or is that 2012 for the US market?), that I normally see associated to cars registered from July 2011, introduces some interesting stuff like 7-G Plus ‘box, Start/Stop, new COMMAND, etc. It also introduces the 306HP version of the 350 CGI engine.

However, this one is a 4Matic version and, while it has been first registered in July 2011, when you look at the engine power, it says 272HP and not the CGI variants (292HP or 306HP). Nevertheless, by looking at the pictures, you can see the colour dashboard, when I think came with the 2011 facelift.

So, at the end, I would like to know if it was only the engine that was left out of the 2011 facelift or something more ? I sent a mail to the dealer but still no response from him.

Since I know that is forum is highly US based and that the Wagon version of this engine comes only in 4Matic in the US, perhaps someone in the forum could help me out here.

Just looking at the engine it looks like the M272 (276HP non direct injection V6) not the 302HP M276. The M276 has the ECU re-located and the engine cover looks completely different than the "old" engine. The last of the 2011 production run look like 2012s as they incorporated the color display in the center and the NTG4.5 here in the states and I am sure this is probably the case with this car you are looking at.

Got a reply from the dealer in the meanwhile :

"There are 4 evolutions steps for the 2011 model - our car has the first level. The car has not the 7-Tronic "PLUS"- but the 7-Tronic.
Therefore there is no Start/Stop Button, and no new comand generation"

I'm attaching here all the options that the car has. The dealer has highlited some of them, one of which I don't understand : code 68. For the new COMMAND, it is stated in the sheet that it has COMMAND Online. Is that the new generation?

OK, after running the vin through the decoder, I found this interesting piece of information:

068 MODIFICATION YEAR 11/0 SCALE 2
088 STEUERCODE NTG 4.5

So, code 68 seems like a scaled down version of the face lift probably only concerning the 4MATIC version.
The command related, can anyone confirm that it is the latest?
