Command Center only works when radio is on

Command Center only works when radio is on
I just had some work done on my E350 4 matic, a radar detector installed. I just noticed that The Command Centers and all the functions only work when the radio is on. Has this happened to any body else?
Does anybody elses' systems work like this does?

This is one of the most confusing areas on a Mercedes.
The button in the middle of the dash turns the entire comand system on and off....and there is no on/off button apparent for the radio.
Solution: If you want to turn the radio off, push the mute button on the steering wheel. That's your radio on/off button.....misnamed "mute".

BTW, the back-up camera doesn't work if COMAND is off. You don't have to have radio per se on, but one of the Audio systems.
