Hankook V12 - 275/30/19 vs 275/35/19 - Load Rating?

So I picked up a set of AMG reps... 19x8.5 / 19x9.5 offset et 35 all the way around (I know a little aggressive, but was assured it would fit, be flush and not poke out. Besides, seen plenty of pics and seems ok) and ordered 245/35/19 Front and 275/30/19 Rear Hankook V12 tires from my local America's Tire Co so they can do the TPMS transfer and install. When I called to schedule my install, the rep tells me we had to send the 275/30/19 back due to "insufficient load rating" and had to order the 275/35/19 ? After all my research, seems that everyone is either running 275 or 285/30/19 and no 35 series. What I cannot find is anything that pertains to the load rating. I see the specs on Tirerack.com and naturally there is a slightly higher rating with the 35 series. However, when I check overall diameter, it's much greater than the 3% allowance.

All you members running Hankook 30 series have any issues? Rep said it was a safety issue. At first thought it was a price issue, but the 35's are slightly more so that defeats that assumption.

If anyone can shed some light on the matter that would be appreciated! Thanks in advance. My install is scheduled today, but may put it off and order the correct sizes.

Pics will be up as soon as the install takes place.

Something "smells" there. They gave you 245/35-19 with load of only 93 for the heavier front, but said that they won't give you 275/30-19 with load 96 for the lighter rear? FYI stock is 97 front&rear. So 96 rear is fine. If anything, that front's 93 is low. Do not use 275/35-19 rear with 245/35-19 front. I would use 255/35-19 and 285/30-19 instead. Also rear 9.5" with et35 will not be flush, but will be over a bit.

Pick a different tire shop.. even at a load rating of 93 you're good to go for 1400lbs or so PER corner. Thats 5600lbs total

Thank you for the advise. I was also thinking to go 255/35-19 front and 285/30-19 rear, but due to the aggressive offset, decided to play it safe with 245 front and 275 rear. I will let the tire shop know exactly what I want. Now for the rims... I guess I can return them and get them somewhere else with a higher offset. I specifically asked them about the low offset and ofcourse they assured me it will be flush. I have seen quite a few pics with 35 offset and 45 with 10mm spacers and they seem to look fine.

Well, I've seen (live) numerous non-lowered W212 sedans and C207 coupes with aftermarket wheels. The lowest "flush" rear offset for 9.5" wide wheel is et37. Anything less and wheels will be passed fender line. Will 2mm be too noticeable? No, not really, but still over. And yes, you're right it will be more so with 285 than 275.

So now I have a challenge.

Here at americas tire co for the install with new rims (ended up ordering correct offset Euro-26 from 323MS 19x8.5 F 19x9.9 R offset 40 F 48 R) and they refuse to install the 275/30/19 for the rear. However have advised me to go with the 255/35/19 F 285/30/19 R which I actually prefer, but since my E is lowered with H&R Sport Spring, they are saying it may rub with the 40 offset in the front.

Anyone have a lowered w212 with 255 and a 40 offset? Any issues?

Also, Nitto 555 or Hankook V12? I heard the Nittos are a bit narrower which in this case would be good if going with the 255/285 set up.

Thanks in advance.

I've got a similar setup and deciding what tire sizes to put on. It's odd how everyone is using a 30 profile tire on 19" wheels. Why aren't most using 35 series to give the wheel a bit more protection? Would a 35 series start rubbing inside the fender??

I have the same size wheels and similar offsets from my Audi with matching bolt pattern. Planning on going 245/35/19 front and 255/35/19 rear. I'm sure these will poke past the fender a bit and I don't mind the stretch.
