Headlight lens issue

2020 GLE350, 2019 E450 Wagon, 2018 E400 Cabriolet
Headlight lens issue
I have a 2010 E550 with hid lights. There is a greyish v shaped film on the insde of both headlight lenses. Dealer said they never saw anything like this in the e class, they are contacting the factory rep to make an appointment to show them the issue. Anyone else experience this?

On BMW's this was caused by the plastic actually breaking down... I hope this isn't the same issue.

ummm, does it mean they've seen the same thing in the other class ?

Yes my wife's e has the same v shape. I think it's normal.

i also think its normal i have the same v shape at night when u turn the lights on it could be more noticeable.

The dealer replaced one side today and is sending back to the factory for further analysis to determine whether to cover under warranty.

Yes, I noticed this on mine too but it doesn't bother me. I'll keep an eye on it though, in case it gets worse. The headlights are awfully bright to begin with.
