Navi help ???
Nothing in the basic manual (pg 169 and 192 but no real info).
Nothing in the Command manual except 2 pages of voice commands for Navi
but not how to turn it off.
My wife and I tried every category on the bottom of the Navi screen and no
luck.
Was hoping when you turn the car off it would disappear. Noooo, when you start the car, there's Navi.
Anybody know the MB secret??
Thanks
Alternatively, if you prefer some other screen, you can just push the phone button or some other button to get rid of the map. Finally, if you want the radio off, push the mute button on the steering wheel and the radio will mute.
Since I always want the map, I don't know which of the settings are remembered the next time you start your car.

Yes, pushed that and that shuts it all off but I turn it back on to get the radio, and there it is--Navi
Yes, pushed radio and Navi screen goes away but Navi verbal cues keep interrupting the music
I want the radio without Navi cues cutting into it???
I'll play with it some more this morning

Once you request route guidance to a destination, the system continues to provide it until you either get there or cancel. In fact, sometimes when you get there and stop, it may not cancel.
BTW, if you want map, but no audio, you can use buttons or COMAND menu to select a system you are not using, such as Memory Card. Screen will say No Device Connected, but then default to whatever you had it on before. This way you don't have to mute the audio.

BTW, it helps to have an idea of where you are going and to keep a map handy. Nav is not infalliable and data is not from MB, but a company that provides the info. to most nav systems. There are selections for different types of routings, but I have never tried them.
. here is the comand manual just in case you didn't get one when you picked up the car. btw, nav instructions is from page 53 http://www.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/DigitalA...13_B_small.pdf

I'll have to ask for my paper copy as it wasn't in my materials I got two weeks ago when I got the car.
I was back once to get the HKardon sampler CD which folks talked about here
as that wasn't in my packet either. I assume that should have been in there as
I got the P2 with HK audio system

? what makes everything in the leather packet difference than things like the mats and keys
? those are things that come with the car and you have to give them to the new owner when the car is delivered. simple as that
. it could be both time consuming for someone who doesn't live close to the dealer and even dangerous for the new owner if he/she doesn't know how to operate a feature or two while enjoying the nice drive home after picking up the car.

If not, you need to mention this when they do.
The dealers are judged carefully by these surveys. They often pressure you to give MB good feedback but you will do future buyers a favor by mentioning this. I guarantee MB will not ignore this feedback.

Regardless, salesman should have given your one and he/she should know which ones are for vehicle you purchases. I would call the sales manager and have ALL applicable manuals and paperwork for the car you purchased mailed to me.
I never got a survey from MB, but you can call MBUSA customer service to complain. Might be better to call dealer first so their are no hard feelings. In fact, that's what MBUSA would probably tell you to do anyway.
box and what's in there---the Command manual so I've got it and have started
to read it.
I'll try to post pics but that's a real chore for me. The Canon pics mgr is on my wife's side of the computer and it should allow easy email to me or direct deposit in my files but message comes up--that feature not activated.
I may get them as copy/paste attachments but they are usually too big to post.
I'll try.......
