Turtle Wax Black Spray Detailer. WOW!
Picked up Turtle Wax Black detailer spray at Autozone this a.m and decided to test it out. All I can say is WOW. While obviously not as good as a thorough hand waxing it surely got the job done. Finish is awesome and it did an amazing job on my swirl marks. Car looks like it did the first day I picked it up!

Pics are too small to confirm this product has proven its laurel but it's good to see a good review on any product that makes any car return back to its showroom condition

Thanks for the info. I have been using Griot's Spray on wax every wash since I did a clay, cleanse, sealant and wax in June and it's been looking great. Very happy with the product and not too expense if you buy the gallon...

After seeing your wheels I decided to go with the PC stocks at least to get me through the winter, loving the look so far. Haven't gone full "murdered out" black yet, kept some chrome on there, I kind of like the contrast, "manslaughtered out" I guess?

No idea on how long it'll hold up as this is the first time I've used it, but it definitely did a fantastic job at filling in my swirl marks, and I had a ton! Who knows how long it'll last but I will make sure I hit it with this stuff every time I do a wash myself. From my other experiences with meguires spray wax and that "ice" stuff this seems to do a much better job, since it is specially made for black cars, it even spray out black!

lol, what chrome? can't see any....![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
I really liked/like my powdered ones also....
if and when you try a gloss finish, you'll really like that too..
after looking at the black wheels for so long, it's nice to have a change....
but I am looking forward to putting them back on in a couple of weeks![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
love the car, more pictures would be awesome as always

very nice, the reason I wasn't thrilled about gloss the first time around was because of the knick and chip aspect.....but after seeing my stock wheels stand the road, I decided
why not try some glossy.....
why not try some glossy.....

Hi! there is a brand called Sonus !! it brings Black upto a brilliant finish gloss, also comes with a wax stick for minor chips, it does last and cheap enough to use regularly, just make sure you wear gloves as it is black!!!!! Easy to polish!!!

Looks great. I wonder how it hid the swirls though. People debate as to whether Wax itself hides swirls (I always assumed it does, at least a little as it adds shine and reflection perhaps to "distract" from swirls at least). As CEB said, being a Glaze would make sense.
I have Meguire's Quick Detailer Spray, I'd assume that's the Meg equivalent to the Turtle Wax spray?

The problem with glazes and the like is that they merely cover up the scratch and once the glaze washes off (usually in a couple of washes or heavy rain) the swirls are all back.
The only way to permanently remove them is mechanically with a polish and then protect the finish with a wax and/or sealant.
Glaze is a car dealer's best friend. A few squirts of glaze and that used car looks like new - until the customer gets it home and washes the car. All of a sudden the car isn't so shiny anymore.
Glaze and gloss enhancers can also make a polished car look better, yielding great results like we see in the picture.

What would the most lazy-boy version of a glaze be? QD I'd assume? I don't use glaze on my car but wouldn't mind having some on hand if it's an easy to apply type that can go on top of preexisting wax (I use ONR which has wax in the wash solution).

Gloss enhancer - along with a paper napkin/towel/kleenex - is also great at removing bird "deposits." Splay the area with the quick detailer, place a paper napkin over the spot and add more detailer to get the paper saturated.
Let it sit for a while (while you're in the grocery store for example) and then pinch off the bird poop - that'll keep the bits of gravel and sand from scratching your paint.
Once the bird crap is gone, use a bit more detailer with a microfiber to get the area back to the shine.
As far as a qd on top of wax is concerned, any kind will work. For you (is that jet black?) the choice of wax is more important as the jet black paint is pretty soft.
