Make sure you get the James Bond package. It includes such niceties as: pop-up machine guns, rocket launchers, rear oil slick, and, my personal favorite, the front passenger ejector seat.

I gota say that at this time, the Vantage/DB9 is the most hansom car on the road. That being said, I would do a lot of research as to the the reliability and availability of parts.
"German Engineering" has taken a bit of a rap these days, but that is because we have grown accustomed to Japanese refrigerator like dependability. Even if it comes at the cost of a less interesting product. However my guess is that the Asston long term ownership experience will be "interesting". With the fleet that you own, a bit of down time may not be daunting, but I know of a situation with a DB7 in which it took weeks to get a fan speed control for one side of the car. Then the other side failed........
Maybe it's like dating a super model, you rationalize the BS for a while, but long term you'll end up killing the *****.

Parts availability is an issue with all the exotic cars .... it is no better or worse then owning a Lamborghini or for some parts, even a lotus. It just goes with the territory.

Well, you may agree or disagree but I believe A/C 207 MB cars look better than these overrated JB **** (You know I also refer to James Bond not Jim Beam )
Only Bond I like is SC , Sean Connery lol
Hey Aston make a Sean Connery Edition otherwise I will keep beating your *** lol
Hyper, since you are a prominent to these cool forums you should stick to your W212 lol
However, if you ever wanna trade your cars why not go for R231 SL 550 or higher models such as SL63 , SL65 AMG
Better styled and you will be staying in thr MB family as well

jesus, hype ! you were still deciding your wheels on the other thread and now this? i'd love to have these problems !
aston martin is always one of my favorite. the exhaust note is probably the third best "noise" we all enjoy . ok, ok, i know you guys will ask what are the top two. very first crying from your newborn on top of the list and moaning from a super model (in my dream) is a close second . some might switch the rankings .
the starting msrp for a v8 vantage isn't too far off from the starting msrp of your cls63. if you are looking at cars at that range and if you don't care much about reliability, you'll have quite a few choices. buy or lease will make a different as well.
here is a list of what kind of cars you can choose from base on the v8 vantage's starting msrp. all the prices below are their starting msrp's:
audi r8: $114,200
bmw m6: $106,100
corvette zr1: $111,600
fisker karma: $102,000
jaguar xkr: $97,500
jaguar xkr-s: $132,000
maserati gran turismo: $126,000
mercedes sl: $105,500
nissan gt-r black edition: $106,320
porsche carrera s: $96,400
porsche carrera turbo: $137,500
not a bad list, huh ?

I was thinking of ordering the 2014 CLS 550 4M in the Spring for delivery in July. Now I am not so sure. I may go with the facelift 2014 E350 4M diesel. I know these cars are a contradiction but it would be the first 4M in an E diesel.
In Canada 9 out of 10 ML's are now sold as diesels. I think the E may follow suit with 4M availablity. I have never driven a diesel but I'm told with the high torque they are comparable to gas engine cars.
In any event I still have six months to make up my mind.

I've outgrown the miata...it was terrific fun for the six years I owned it without ever putting the top up. The Lotus is beyond being at all practical....I am not sure I could get in and out of the car in my current aged body
The next car will be a carerra S with PDK....always wanted to drive a Porsche.

If money is no object I would go for a DBS Coupe not a Vantage, Casino Royale custom exterior color!

I believe AM is still a Ford owned company as it was a few years ago. This is why you see design similarities with the Jaguar coupe (also Ford owned for some time) and other more current Ford products.
IMO, Ford proceses increased reliability, but designs and details of the interior became less distinctive/exotic.
That said, still a big fan of the AM, particularly the Rapide and Vantage V12.

I was also looking to get a Maserati when my Benz lease was up but red flags started to pop up when I went to the dealership. The first demo car would not start up. The second demo car stalled on me while still in the parking lot. Finally the third car they gave me didn't have any issues. The interior is not bad but ergonomically not ideal. There are some buttons behind the steering wheel which are impossible to turn on without looking. If you search on YouTube Top Gear did a segment on it and they liked the car but hated how things were laid out inside it. The engine is nice and sweet sounding. It's like an Italian Opera performance coming out from under the hood. Just get ready to spend some cash on servicing that car. For big boy toys you have to pay big boy prices.

Found a nice video regarding your "dillema". Top Gear tests 4 door sedans:
After all is said and done I'd still choose the Panamera. Granted its not as good looking as the Aston or Maserati but I'm a German Car Snob and I like German Engineering.
- Aston Martin Rapide
- Maserati Quattroporte
- Porsche Panamera Turbo
