W212 Carbon Diffuser

Hey guys, I'm kind of new to this forum. So I was wondering, will the E63 AMG carbon diffuser fit on E350? I've seen a lot of them on eBay, but all the sellers are saying that it won't fit on the E350. Why is that? I thought the E63's and E350's rear bumper are the same, aren't they? I was thinking that the problem is the tips. But I'm going to buy the quad tips as well. So will that solve the problem? Does anyone know about this?

Here is the link to the E63's diffuser:

Welcome to the forum, I am sorry to tell you that the E63 rear diffuser will not fit the E350 or E550, the angles at the exhaust tips are totally opposite and the overall size is different. I've looked into this for months and so far I have not found any aftermarket rear diffuser that will fit the W212 E350/550.

Good luck

It may sound stupid, but I can't tell the difference between my E350's bumper (with sport package) and E63's. So it won't fit even though I put the E63's tips?

Yeah I've been looking for it quite a while too. Can't find it. Guess I have to get the E63's bumper right?

If you get E63 tips then the angles will be correct but as far as I know the overall length of the diffuser will be different. I tried to fit an E63 Brabus diffuser on my E350 and the Brabus diffuser was longer than the OEM E350 diffuser...it was close but no cheese! but I'm sure that if you take it to a body shop they might be able to make it fit, I was looking for a perfect and easy plug-n-play fitting. Also, the OEM diffuser is riveted on so it will be a pain to remove and you will have to figure out a way to secure the new diffuser in place.

Are you 100% sure that body shops will be able to do some mods to make it fit perfectly? I mean, it's only a slight difference right? Otherwise, it will be costly. Forking down benjamins to buy E63's diffuser, do some mods on it, then it fails to fit. Then I have to get the E63's bumper, which costs another dollar. I can save thousand dollars if I only buy the diffuser and the tips.

I don't know for sure that your body shop can make it fit at all, all I'm saying is that it is an option to have a good body shop take a look at it, and they can tell you how elaborate it will be. I was looking for a plug-n-play solution and didn't want to deal with the hassle of a costly mod, I even looked into a company that was going to make me a custom diffuser, but I was always concerned about the final fitment so I never went through with with.

I know right. I have a loud exhaust and it just seems awkward to me if I still use the OEM diffuser and tips. It's like Chuck Norris without machine gun. LOL.

Wow it looks really nice. But I'm afraid body shops won't be able to make it fit perfectly. Did you try to put that diffuser on your E550? or you just know that it won't fit?

I still can't believe that they are different. I've compared both bumpers' picture side by side for a couple times and I still can't tell the difference. LOL. There must be a slight difference in terms of the length right? I guess the E63's is longer than the E350's.

LOL. To be honest, I really like your Vorsteiner diffuser. But I can't buy it without knowing exactly whether it will work on my car or not.

I just asked a muffler shop on eBay about this. They said they have installed E63 diffuser on E350 w/ sport package and it works! They also sent me the picture. It's really confusing. Some people said it won't work, some said it will. I can't find a definite answer.

It's yours for 400 plus shipping......which will be the odd part as the thing is about 5 feet long. It was 1500 new back in 2012

hey Hyp, was your e550 a "Sport"? Everything I've read says that the AMG Sport bumper and the E63 Bumper(pre-facelift, of course) were identical...

Well, I know for sure that an OEM E63 diffuser fits the 350/550 sport bumper with no problem. So any aftermarket 63 diffuser should fit too (but may require some fiddling with the mounting clips). The stock exhaust tips will look terrible on it though. So get new tips as well. Below s my 350 wagon with oem 63 diffuser. It was plug and play except for needing to drill out a couple of small rivets. Good luck!
