I have an OEM cover for my 212 and 218, they 're both great! don't scratch up the finish, very smooth and soft inside.....and fit like a glove: mirrors, hood star, antenna, even has a strap to go underneath, but I don't use that one......I am also without garage.....but so what.....but knew I needed at least a cover, and despite thinking it's a pain to cover and uncover......it isn't......it's a breeze!
bravo for wanting to protect your ride
the link my freind gave above is a good place

Believe it or not but they do not sell the external car cover in the UK or maybe even Europe. I have been to 2 separate dealers with the same result. Thanks for highlighting a company to buy from but they do not ship internationally. However I did find a company in the US who will ship and hopefully it is now crossing the pond!!!

I was looking into this as I am going away for 3 weeks and I have no garage to put it in for that three weeks... never knew it was in the $200s. Thought it was around 100 and now I am really debating whether I should get it or not.

Well I did import one from the US as they are definitely not available in the UK. The price in the US is a good one, but once the blood sucking Customs import tax and the Revenue value added tax is added, it cost a small fortune.......I am probably the only person in the UK with on so have it chained to the car (I am serious)..They are genuine Mercedes parts with the relevant part no.
Anyway to the point, the cover is excellent, the Noah fabric feels very felty in a cheap way BUT it works very well indeed, so far have had the Sun, Rain, High Winds and now Frost (soon to be snow) and it handles well, fairly easy to put on and take off, but it is made for the saloon so the aerial cover is in the wrong place as the convertible has its aerial on the boot.
Would I buy one again ? yes !!
