Does anyone know this car?

My wife's CLS550 lease is up and I am considering this one. Is it owned by a forum member by any chance?

Don't know it...but damn it looks good. Wonder why he is selling and at an apparent significant loss?

if you look at the ad closely, the seller bought it in 9/10. so it's a 23 months old car. it's a big loss but the price that he/she is selling is about right, though. sad thing about body kits and wheels is new potential buyer could care less about how much money was spent on the car. they just follow blue book price.

+1 It always amazes me that folks think the bolt-on do-dads somehow enhance the market value. In many cases it reduces the value (which is why I suspect he is selling on ebay). Mods truly only have value to the owner. Subsequent owners will rarely see the value. So, if you just happen to be looking for a used, white E with these mods, this is the car for you. My dealer has CPO W212 in this price range. Which would you feel better with?

Wow, that's super cheap! Unless resale of these cars is that bad?

The mods are actually not that bad, considering some of the horrible kits available for these cars, but still looks slightly cheesy IMO.... though again, actually pretty good for a body kit.

Fact is, these mods make the cars really "worked in", therefore they further tank resale. But if you want mods, then you get a HUGE value as the technical price invested into the car is massively higher than what you're paying.
