Will these wheels fit?

Sorry for not posting outside of one of the wheel threads, but didn't see the answer to my question.

I recently picked up a E550 4matic for a DD and want to switch out the rims for a bigger size. I came across some rims that are coming off an E63, but they look to wide / wrong offests. Hoping someone can verify for me though, since I'm new to the MB thing.

The rims / offsets are:
20x9 et 29
20x10.5 et 45

Am I just asking for trouble with that setup? Too wide for the non-AMG? Any difference on the 4matic and RWD models?

You can make the wheels fit, might have to stretch the tires a bit. But I don't see the point of running wide wheels if you have to stretch the tire to make them fit.. for a 9" front you want to be at 40 et to be flush with fender, but that brings you closer to your suspension. i'm sure if you ran a 235/35 on a 9" 29et you'll stick out passed fender (and in my opinion be too stretched) . Your rear will work fine if you clear your suspension, that i'm not sure.

The front offset will not fit. To agressive. The front wheel will "poke" out to much and your wheel will not turn. Could be wrong. ThreeMBs where are you!!!

Only MBs - the best or nothing
I know Vic (AMG board) ran 20x9 et29 with 255/30-20 upfront, but on KW lowered E63 which also may have slightly more flared front fender.

I agree with Big - front is too aggresive. IMHO one needs to use narrower wheels (8.5" instead of 9" and 9.5" or 10"max instead of 10.5") or less offset (especially upfront: et38-40, rear: et50).

Thanks guys, just what I needed to hear. Now I can scratch those off the list. I think I'll look for some 19" replicas maybe go with a consistent setup instead of staggered as I don't see the advatage to staggered on a 4matic. Looks I guess?
