2013 W212 driving impressions?
Hey all,
I am going to have to survive most of the winter until my car arrives so help a brother out and give me some driving impressions on your cars. I am helpless to find more information out on the web, and just want to read something so I can sleep on Sunday nights rather than toss around thinking of how many weeks are left until delivery. Pathetic, I know.![](http://www.benzworld.org/forums/images/smilies/help.gif)
Now I know why i haven't ordered a new car in 12 years.
Anyway, send stories or links if you can. I'll be hanging out on the W124 boards until then.

2013 E350, 2003 BMW M5
I recently purchased a 2013 E350 and this by far one of the nicest sedans I've owned. It's smooth on the roads, handles well on the curves (with a decent amount of under steer) and it has a nice 300HP to boot. Having owned many 'M' cars and then moving over to a Mercedes was a win win for me.
Congrats and enjoy it in good health.

+1 - Great car, and I came from Merc SL55 - the new E350 plenty of power for everyday driving and comfortable, well mannered. Was hesitant to make the jump, but i am loving the car. I would wait though until new shapre comes out this summer 2013, as the 2014 shape is changing quite drastically and upping HP to 340.

backroads of Wisc/MN to help break in the motor and bed in the brakes.
It was constant up/down twisty turns with acceleration/braking and I was
impressed. It was a great trip except for my wife almost getting carsick
from trying to watch the nav screen while we were moving.
It feels really in the goove at 80 on the backroads.
2014 E----- I've seen early pics and not sure the body will be better. I love the quad headlights that we have. Not sure it will look better. The 340 HP would be sweet BUT there is much confusion as some said 2013 would have 340HP when that was hybrid with gas engine plus electric motor total. In searching forums I found an articel that in 2014 MB would have a 340 HP motor BUT it referenced a
4 cyclinder turbo (ala BMW) so that is a possibility. I'd much prefer our current motor if that 4 cylider turbo was the 340 HP replacement????
So, hard to say if 2014 will be better or worse, depends and time will tell....
