I have a 2010 e550 and i hate the ipod/aux connector. its a stupid design, when its connected i cant close the glove compartment. does anybody have any other wire. I hate how it goes from that Mercedes plug to ipod. wish it was Mercedes connector to usb female entrance so i could use any kind of phone

 

you can even see in the picture that the cable is starting to tear from closing the glove box while its connected. please help me out with any suggestions or recommendations.

My cable is straingh without an elbow and it does not interfere with closing the glove box. I also have an USB cable the same way.

That explains why MB has moved everything into the centre consul now. This is also much more convenient.

The iPod cable came with the car, the USB cable I bought from MB dealer parts.

I'll see if I manage to get a picture of it here, if I remember how to do it...

I took a picture of it but it turned out a bit blurry. I could be seeing 8 as a 6, i.e. it could be 827 instead of 627. I'm quite sure it is 627 though. I'll check when I get the car back from service.

I could not find this from internet either. Even the MB did not list this for E-Class even though when I bought my cable the E-Class was listed as the first model on the label on the package.
